Adventures in Stamping Sunday Challenge

Today's challenge is a 4th of July Mani.

This is what I used for the base.

Both creams, two coats plus top coat.
 Using the MJ Plate VI
and the Sugar Bubbles Plate 005, as well as Konad White and Red I stamped the stars and stripes to my nails.  I really need to leave things alone instead of trying to fix them(I had some bald spots on my stripes)

Anyway thanks for stopping by!

Gradient Stamped Mani

Here is the look for today

This is what I used for the base, from the China Glaze New Bohemian Luster Chrome Collection from Fall of 2012 and a makeup sponge.

I started off with No Plain Jane, using the make up sponge I added Unpredictable, and finally Deviantly Daring.
With the makeup sponge just keep dabbing the color on your nails until your satisfied with the results.

Using the Cheeky Jumbo Plate 10-Happy Nails and Kleancolor in Black I than added the designs.

Color Club Wing Fling Stamped

Wing Fling is part of the Color Club Take Wing Collection Summer 2012.  I found this way in the back of a drawer, so I thought I use this today before I lose it again.

This is a very bright color.  It's a magenta jelly base with pink and purple shimmer.
It's a sheer color, so I used two coats with top coat.

The formula on this was nice and smooth, it dried fairly quickly as well.
This is what I used to stamp the designs, the DRK-B plate which I bought at Ninja Polish, and Kleancolor in Black to stamp with.

I went ahead and used a Matte top coat.

I actually like this better with a matte finish, it's still nice and bright.

Tom Ford Dominatrix

Tom Ford Dominatrix is from the Fall 2012 Collection.  While in Houston, my husband was nice enough to pick this up for me when I had him looking for Chanel Malice.

This is a very bright metallic purple.  I was expecting streaks, but the application was nice and smooth, and it dried fairly quickly.
This was supposed to be limited edition, but it is still available at Nordstrom for $30.
I did have some bubbles but that was the top coat not the polish.

Zoya Rocky

For some reason my 4 year old keeps singing Eye of the Tiger.  So I decided to use that for inspiration and broke out with Zoya Rocky .

Zoya describes Rocky as a full coverage serene blue cream.
This is from the Zoya Stunning Summer Collection 2013, it retails for $8
It was a nice application, self leveling, no streaks, and opaque in two coats.  There is a slight odor to it.

First Glitter Gradient

Here is my first try at a glitter gradient.  This is what I used.

Started off using China Glazes Turned Up Turquoise, which is a neon polish.

Being a neon polish it tends to be a bit streaky and it dries to a matte finish.
My camera did not like this color, it keeps shifting the pictures from green to blue.

I than added China Glaze Atlantis which has green, teal, silver and holographic glitter in a light green jelly base.
I cleaned off most of the brush and then began applying it to my nails with dragging motion towards the tips of my nails.  Next time I thing I will go back to using a make-up sponge, I have more control that way.

Fishnet Stamped Mani

I really liked yesterday Urban Decay Sidecar.  It brought to mind of a mani from Chloe's Nails blog.  So here is my version.

Started off with Urban Decay Sidecar
Next using the fishnet design from the mash plate M-57 and Kleancolor black
I added the designs to my nails, the images are small, you can see where the design stopped.

Finally I added black tips to the ends.
