AIS Sunday Challenge - Valentines Day Nails

Today's challenge over in Adventures in Stamping is to do Valentines Day nails. 

This is what I came up with.

 I started off with OPI Chic From Ears To Tail and an accent nail of CG Dandy Lyin' Around.

 I added a coat of CG Fairy Dust and used the Cheeky Princess Charming plate for the images.

G O T Challenge - Green

Today's Golden Oldie Challenge is to use a green polish.  Should be simple right?  Wrong. 

These are the polishes I used for today's mani.  CG Re-Fresh Mint, CG Four Leaf Clover, CG Jolly Holly.  

I was planning on using Re-Fresh Mint as a base and than adding some lines and flower detail.  That was the plan.

After one disastrous nail I needed something to hide the failure.  I opted for a seran wrap base and some stamping.

I used CG Jolly Holly and Cheeky D plate for the stamping images.

Not my best work, but I wanted to share it anyway.

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone is enjoying their Thanksgiving with their loved ones today.  

One of the many things that I am thankful for is the love and support of my family.

 I always thought it was funny how after one of the most restful holidays(turkey=nap), it turns into a mad rush to shop.  BLACK FRIDAY!!!(late Thursday)

For my BLACK FRIDAY nails I started off with a base of, yup you guessed it Orly Black Vinyl and OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.  For stamping I used Cheeky plates 54 & 55.

Quick Gold Mani

I finally got around to watching The Great Gatsby.  I'll be honest I couldn't get past the gorgeous costumes and jewelry. 

 Here is my simple  art deco inspired mani.

 This is what I used for the base and to stamp with.  Good as Gold is a pain to apply, it was very streaky and any imperfection will show but it does have a dry fast time.

 I used the Cheeky plate C to apply the designs.

Essie - Cashmere Bathrobe

Essie Cashmere Bathrobe is from their fall 2013 collection.

This is  a dark grey with subtle silver shimmer.  The application was great.    It was nice and smooth with no bubbles  or bald spots.  This is two coats with a QDTC.

I added a stamp to the accent nail using the Cheeky Jumbo plate 10 and Silver Swept from Sally Hansen.

In the sunlight, it's easier to see the shimmer.

Untried Tuesday- Zoya Frida and Cheeky Plate

This is what I did today for untried Tuesday.   

 I started off with Zoya Frida, which I just picked up at Ulta for $2.99.

 Zoya describes Frida as a sheer, dark, warm-toned teal blue with buildable jelly gloss finish.  This was 5 coats with top coat.  Having to use so many coats I was glad that it at least it dried fast.

 I than used Cheek CH46 plate and Urban Outfitters in Green Holo to add the designs onto my nail. 

Here is the final look, with no top coat.

Untried Tuesday - Sparitual Meditate On This

I have quite a few untrieds in my polish collection, so I will be dedicating Tuesdays as the official day to tackle this problem.

This is a sheer duo chrome polish.  It's a bright blue with purple.  The purple is hard to see on the nail.

 I really wanted to be able to see the purple.  So I broke out with Kleancolor in Metallic Purple and Cheeky Jumbo Plate 10.

The designs are very subtle.

This polish was a pain to clean up, hopefully I wont get smurf fingers when it comes time to remove.

Gradient Stamped Mani

Here is the look for today

This is what I used for the base, from the China Glaze New Bohemian Luster Chrome Collection from Fall of 2012 and a makeup sponge.

I started off with No Plain Jane, using the make up sponge I added Unpredictable, and finally Deviantly Daring.

 With the makeup sponge just keep dabbing the color on your nails until your satisfied with the results.

Using the Cheeky Jumbo Plate 10-Happy Nails and Kleancolor in Black I than added the designs.
