Emily de Molly - Oceanic Forces

This is Emily de Molly's Oceanic Forces.  This is an indie polish that I purchased this from Llarowe for $13.

This contains turquoise dots and hex glitters suspended in a teal jelly base.   A good shaking will be needed to wake up the dots from the bottom and the sides.

 The application was nice, each brush stroke contained plenty of the glitters.  Some of the dots did have to be fished out.  This is two coats of the EdM over  Zoya's Cynthia, a coat of Gelous, and a final coat of a QDTC.   I add the coat of Gelous to help achieve a smooth finish.

 This is a quick swatch with no color base or top coat.

Emily de Molly - Dark Forces

Last week I received Emily de Molly Dark Forces and I couldn't wait to try it.  Dark Forces is a 5-free hand blended custom polish nail polish.

This is a black jelly base with silver dots and hexagon iridescent glitter.  Unlike Cosmic Forces, I had no trouble with the silver dots.  

 I did use a layer of Orly Black Vinyl prior to applying Dark Forces.  It is such a sheer base that I would think that it would take a few coats to get it opaque.

I did purchase this from Llarowe(here) for $13.  It sells out quickly but if you sign up for updates you will get notified when they will restock it.

Emily de Molly - Black Forest

During Llarowe's last restock of the Emily de Molly polish I was lucky enough to have purchased Dark Forces and Oceanic Forces.  Waiting for them to arrive was taking forever.  So I went ahead and applied Black Forest. 

 This is a black jelly base with different size hex green glitters.  

This is over a coat of Orly Black Vinyl.  Emily de Molly is an indie brand from Australia, she doesn't ship to the states so if your interested in her polish you need to go through a retailer like Llarowe.    This is two coats over the Orly.  This polish is so sheer that it's meant to be used as a top coat over a colored base.

 They are a little pricey at $13, but the formula was great.  The glitter went and spread easily through out the nail.

 Once my nails were done I checked the mail and what did I find?  But Oceanic Forces and Dark Forces.  Here they are with Cosmic Forces,  Muted Madness and Black Forest

Emily de Molly Cosmic Force

  This is an Indie brand from Australia, so if you live there you can easily purchase her items from Etsy.  I actually managed to get my big mitts on Cosmic Forces during Llarowe's restock last week, her stuff always sells out with in minutes. 

Here is what I used today:  all purpose glue as a base, a quick coat of OPI Ink, and Nina Pro quick dry top coat.  Glitter polishes are a pain to remove, by using the glue I should be able to peel the polish off when I'm done, I'll let you know how that goes.

 This consists of lavender holo dots, hex and pink dot glitter suspended in a purple jelly base.

My thumb has two coats by itself, and the others are two coats over OPI Ink.

 Some fishing is required to get the bigger dots, which I failed to do I was so happy with how this applied that I failed to notice I was missing stuff.  The application was smooth, it has a nice size brush and it dried quickly.

Mani Fail:( Emily de Molly Muted Madness

I was so excited to try Muted Madness from Emily de Molly.  It's one of the few Indie polish that I own.  I purchased this from Llarowe.  It was $13 for a 12ml bottle.

As you can see from the bottle shots, it is full of bright blue, red, green, and yellow hexagon glitters.  As well as some holographic micro-glitter suspended in a black base.

This was 2 coats over Orly's Black Vinyl.  It applied great, the glitter spread out evenly, no clumps to rearrange.  I should have left it alone, but no lets add a top coat.  Apparently MM doesn't play nice with  Nina Ultra Pro Dry Top Coat.  It shrunk everything, WAWA!!

So if it hadn't been for the shrinkage(insert giggle), it would have been a pretty mani.
