Mickey Mouse Nails

I'm so excited we're going to Disney world this week, which is why I haven't been posting lately.  That being said I felt the need to break out  with some Mickey nails for the occasion. 

 Here is what I did.

 For the base I used,  OPI's Magazine Cover Mouse which is from the Minnie Mouse Collection and FP Paper Mache. The Mickey mouse stamp is KC black and plate MJ VII. I used a dotting tool KC Black and Konad white for the Mickey heads and dots.

 The red base is a liquid sand polish, which is a textured polish.   So I went ahead and used a coat of Gelous base and a quick dry top coat to have a smooth surface.

 Next, using the dotting tool I added the Mickey heads and white dots.

  The wi-fi is sketchy so I won't be posting for awhile.  I might post some haul pics over on my Facebook page if possible.

Strum My Heartstrings Challenge - Anti-Valentine

Today's Challenge over at The Lacquered Landlubber is  an anti-Valentine theme.  

I went with a simple black mani with a pink  accent nail with stamped black roses.

I started with a base of Rimmel Black Satin and OPI Pussy Galore.

I like how the pink texture of the OPI looks next to the black.

I used KC black and the DRK -A plate to add the roses .

Strum My Heart-Strings Challenge - French Tip Technique

Tes, over at The Lacquered Landlubber, is having a Valentine's Day Challenge.  Today's challenge is to use the french nails technique.

Here is what I did:

I started off with 3 coats of O.P.I.'s  Don't Touch My Tutu!  This is pre-clean up and wow you can see how yellow my nails are.

I used some guides and 1 coat of Burberry Poppy Black to do the black tips.

I really like how this looks by itself.

Finally I added bright pink bows using Mundo dé Uñas Mexican Pink polish and Konad plate m3.

AIS Sunday Challenge - Valentines Day Nails

Today's challenge over in Adventures in Stamping is to do Valentines Day nails. 

This is what I came up with.

 I started off with OPI Chic From Ears To Tail and an accent nail of CG Dandy Lyin' Around.

 I added a coat of CG Fairy Dust and used the Cheeky Princess Charming plate for the images.

Red Coat Tuesday- PLL

Color Me So Crazy is hosting a Pretty Little Liars, Red Coat Tuesday.  

For today I went with a simple mani of a gorgeous red with an accent nail of black flowers.

I started off with a base coat from the OPI Gwen Stefani Collection,  Over & Over A-Gwen.  This is a set that includes different style studs and glue.

 This is a bold red creme polish.  The application was so great, the clean up not so much.  

 This is two coats with no top coat, but it's still very shiny.

Next I added some black flowers using the DRK-B plate and Kleancolor in black.

This is two coats with top coat.

Birthday Nails

Today is my little Turtle Bean(aka Charlotte Faith) birthday, she's 2.  She is such a little girly girl I had to have pink sparkly nails.

I started off with a base of Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream and OPI Teenage Dream.

 Next I made nail decals using plate VI from My Online Shop and various different polishes.  I always make extra decals just in case I tear them trying to remove them from the parchment paper.

 I love decals, to bad I get a little cross eyed filling them in.

 Mmmm cupcakes!

 She is so sweet(cough at times, terrible two's are kicking in)

Sunday's Challenge in Adventures in Stamping

So today's challenge  in the face book group Adventures in Stamping was to stamp over a saran wrap base.  

This is what I used for the base.

 A quick coat of My Boyfriend Scales Walls and than big random dots of Blow, Lament, and Can't Find My Czechbook.   

 Using the saran wrap  I spread the dots of polish out so that they overlap and create that effect, and than added top coat.  

 I stamped some butterflies using the DRK-B Plate.

OPI Russian Navy(matte) and dots

I just wanted to do something simple today, so I decided to go with OPI's Russian Navy in a matte finish.

  I should have buffed my nails prior to application because you can see all the ridges.

 This is two coats, since this has a matte finish I didn't add a top coat.  FYI matte finish polish tends to chip faster, so keep that in mind when working with mattes. 

 Using the Orly dotting tool and SH Mega-shine top coat I added dots to my nails.

 Using both sides of the dotting tool I added different size dots randomly to the nails.  This is supper quick and easy.

Simple Black and White Divorce Nails

 In one of the Facebook groups that I follow, one of the members was celebrating her divorce and wanted ideas on what to do on her nails.  Here was my suggestion.

 I wanted a soft white base so I started off with OPI's Don't Touch My Tutu!, which is a jelly.  This formula is extremely sheer so multiple layers were needed.

Using the DRK-A plate and Kleancolor in black

I added black roses to my nails

Very quick and easy.
