Strum My Heartstrings Challenge - Anti-Valentine

Today's Challenge over at The Lacquered Landlubber is  an anti-Valentine theme.
I went with a simple black mani with a pink  accent nail with stamped black roses.

I started with a base of Rimmel Black Satin and OPI Pussy Galore.
I like how the pink texture of the OPI looks next to the black.
I used KC black and the DRK -A plate to add the roses .

Blue Valentine Nails

Can I just say bbrrrr it is cold outside.
I was so happy with Dior Porcelaine I couldn't take it off.
Using Kleancolor in white and DRK-A plate,  I added the designs.

Finally I added some Valentine decals that I purchased from RLR Creations.

This was last years mani using the same decal.

Finally,
Don't forget to head on over to The Mercurial Magpie where you can enter to win some fabulous prizes.

Alabama Crimson Tide Nails

It's a big game today, Alabama is taking on LSU.  Which means I had to take Thor off and break out the houndstooth plate.

I started off with a base of Orly Bus stop Crimson and Finger Paints Paper Mache.
I added the houndstooth design using the DRK-A plate and the elephants using MJ II.  I had to try to double stamp the elephants to get a full nail done and it didn't work.

Adventures in Stamping Sunday Challenge - Holographic Base

Today's challenge was to use a holographic base, I chose Hits Dionisio.  This is from their No Olimpio Collection.
Speciallitá Hits is a polish brand from Brazil, I purchased this from Llarowe for $8.  This is the original formula, it has recently been reformulated.

This is two coats over Revlon Gel Base coat instead of the Nfu Aqua base.   I didn't use a top coat since they can kill the holo effect.

I added some skulls using the DRK-A plate and Urban Outfitters Silver Holo.

October Game day Nails

Alabama is taking on Arkansas today so I needed to have some game day nails.  Since it's October I went ahead and added some pink as well.  This is what I came up with.

Started off with a base of CG Dandy Lyin' Around, a shimmery white.

I added the houndstooth designs using DRK-A plate, KC Black and Konad pastel pink.

Roll Tide Nails

It's that time again, college football is here!  Alabama Crimson Tide is taking on Virginia Tech this Saturday so I needed to start on my nails.

I used two colors for the base.  China Glaze White on White and Orly Bus Stop Crimson

Next I added the houndstooth print by using DRK A plate and KC in Black.  Using a dotting tool and Konad White I added random dots

Using MJ II plate I added the elephants to the thumb.

Adventures in Stamping Sunday Challenge

Using your birthstone color was the challenge for today, which in my case would be a Garnet.

So I started with Orly Bonder as my base coat, followed with China Glaze Vodoo, That U Do

This is a dark crimson with red/gold shimmer thru out.  The application was smooth, I used two coats with a quick dry top coat.

Index finger has 1 coat

I used Essie Good as Gold and the DRK-A plate
Here is the finished look.

Simple Black and White Divorce Nails

In one of the Facebook groups that I follow, one of the members was celebrating her divorce and wanted ideas on what to do on her nails.  Here was my suggestion.

I wanted a soft white base so I started off with OPI's Don't Touch My Tutu!, which is a jelly.  This formula is extremely sheer so multiple layers were needed.
Using the DRK-A plate and Kleancolor in black
Please excuse my messed up plate

I added black roses to my nails

Very quick and easy.

A Quicky Stamped Mani

So I reused the base of China Glaze, Strap On Your Moonboots
And added some stamps using Urban Outfitters Silver Holo and the DRK-A plate that I purchased from the Ninja's.
So here is the finished look
