GOT Polish Challenge: Dots

Today's GOT(Golden Oldie Thursday) challenge was to use dots and here is what I did.
This is what I used today.  Finger Paints Paper Mậche, Rimmel Black Satin(I was barely able to open the bottle it had so many crusty's), OPI glue, dotting tool and  a bow accessory.
A simple black and white base to start off with.  Once dry, I added dots using the dotting tool.

Finally got around to using one of these bows I bought off of ebay.
Cute and simple black and white nails.

Blue Valentine Nails

Can I just say bbrrrr it is cold outside.
I was so happy with Dior Porcelaine I couldn't take it off.
Using Kleancolor in white and DRK-A plate,  I added the designs.

Finally I added some Valentine decals that I purchased from RLR Creations.

This was last years mani using the same decal.

Dior - Porcelaine 204

Woohoo, today is my birthday!  My birthday nails are kind of boring but it is such a pretty color I wanted to leave it be.  My husband added to my Dior and Burberry collection and I wanted to wear one of my presents.

This is part of the Trianon spring 2014 collection.  There are three polishes plus a top coat in this collection.  They retail for $24.
Porcelaine is a very light baby blue in a creme formula.
The application was nice.  The first layer was a little bit streaky but after that initial layer it went on nice and smooth.
This is three thin coats with a QDTC.

Here are some "similar" colors that I found in my collection,  Zoya Blu and Beautifully Disney Off To The Ball.

Beautifully Disney($9.95) seems to be closer in color than Zoya Blu($9).

Also
I'm taking part in the All You Need Is Love (and polish) Giveaway over at
The Mercurial Magpie a lot of great prizes to be won.  This is my contribution to the giveaway.  Make sure to enter and good luck!

Anna Sui - Limited Edition Minnie Mouse Bottle Collection

As some of you know, I'm a sucker for packaging.  So when I saw that Anna Sui not only had polish inspired by Disney; but she has bottles in the shape of Minnie Mouse I had to have some.

 For today's nails I used N 002 Snow White.
Forget about the bottles, seriously look at how cute the boxes are.  My husband ordered these from Beautylish.    N 002 Snow White is a sheer white with silver glitter.
Application was nice, no streaks or bald spots and dried fairly quickly.  I didn't notice the signature tea rose scent that's found in Anna Sui nail varnish so I'm not sure if I'm missing it or it's not in these.
I added some neon pink hearts to my nails by using Konad Princess polish in Psyche Pink and Sugar Bubbles plate 007.
Oh my goodness these are bright, so not used to it.

There's a few hours left until my birthday giveaway.  You can win a Magno XL stamper and 2 Handy stamping plates.

Good Luck!

PLL- Red Coat Tuesday

For this weeks Red Coat Tuesday, I broke out the YsL polish I picked up at an outlet.
 It's called Rouge DADA.
Rouge DADA is a lovely candy apple red.  By looking at the bottle I was expecting more of a wine color.  I really like the brush in these YsL polishes, the flat rounded tip makes the application a breeze.
I added some designs using Essie Good as Gold and plate 007 from Sugar Bubbles.

This is one of my favorite designs because its half outlined and the other half is filled in.  So you can get two different looks from the same image.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the other red mani's over at Color Me So Crazy.

AIS Sunday Challenge - Inspired by fabric

I'm keeping it short and sweet today!

Today's challenge over in Adventures in Stamping is to be inspired by fabric.  I was inspired by a corset that I own.

This is what I came up with.
I started off with a base in Sinful Colors in Inkwell.
I added the designs using Konad White and plate MM 06 from Messy Mansion.

Hmm, the white is to bright but my next choice would have been to yellow.
Oh well, close enough I guess.

Recycled CbL Behead the Drama Queen!

Ughh, I hate being sick.  I don't feel like doing anything, plus with all the pills I'm popping I'm a little buzzed.   I didn't trust myself painting my nails, so I decided to recycle yesterdays mani.
Started off with yesterdays base of CbL Behead the Drama Queen!  A gorgeous emerald green/teal base with green shimmer.
I added the designs using KC Black and the MoYou plate Pro Collection - 06.
 A quick and easy mani.

Colors by LLarowe - Behead the Drama Queen!

I was lucky enough to have snagged a Colors by Llarowe, back in November during a re-stock.  My collection mostly consists of blues and purples so I thought a green would be a nice addition to the family.
This is a beautiful emerald green/teal base with a green shimmer.

In some angles the teal is more evident, but for the most part I caught the green base in these pictures.

I picked this up from Llarowe for $12.
The formula is thick so I went with two thin coats and no top coat for the pictures.  It is pretty opaque so you can get away with one coat if you prefer.

Seven days left for my Birthday Giveaway!
