Strum My Heart-Strings Challenge - French Tip Technique

Tes, over at The Lacquered Landlubber, is having a Valentine's Day Challenge.  Today's challenge is to use the french nails technique.

Here is what I did:
I started off with 3 coats of O.P.I.'s  Don't Touch My Tutu!  This is pre-clean up and wow you can see how yellow my nails are.

I used some guides and 1 coat of Burberry Poppy Black to do the black tips.
I really like how this looks by itself.
Finally I added bright pink bows using Mundo dé Uñas Mexican Pink polish and Konad plate m3.

Thanks for stopping by!

Anna Sui - Limited Edition Minnie Mouse Bottle Collection

As some of you know, I'm a sucker for packaging.  So when I saw that Anna Sui not only had polish inspired by Disney; but she has bottles in the shape of Minnie Mouse I had to have some.

 For today's nails I used N 002 Snow White.
Forget about the bottles, seriously look at how cute the boxes are.  My husband ordered these from Beautylish.    N 002 Snow White is a sheer white with silver glitter.
Application was nice, no streaks or bald spots and dried fairly quickly.  I didn't notice the signature tea rose scent that's found in Anna Sui nail varnish so I'm not sure if I'm missing it or it's not in these.
I added some neon pink hearts to my nails by using Konad Princess polish in Psyche Pink and Sugar Bubbles plate 007.
Oh my goodness these are bright, so not used to it.

There's a few hours left until my birthday giveaway.  You can win a Magno XL stamper and 2 Handy stamping plates.

Good Luck!

AIS Sunday Challenge - Inspired by fabric

I'm keeping it short and sweet today!

Today's challenge over in Adventures in Stamping is to be inspired by fabric.  I was inspired by a corset that I own.

This is what I came up with.
I started off with a base in Sinful Colors in Inkwell.
I added the designs using Konad White and plate MM 06 from Messy Mansion.

Hmm, the white is to bright but my next choice would have been to yellow.
Oh well, close enough I guess.

Adventures in Stamping Sunday's Challenge

So this past Sunday's challenge was inspiration from your favorite shoes.  I choose an old pair of patchwork Coach  tennis shoes.

So this is what I used for the base

Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream is one of the few pinks in my collection, but easily my favorite.  This is two coats on each nail.

Here are the stamping polishes I used.  I actually mixed a few to get the right shade.  Just make sure you work fast because they dry quickly
MJ plate IV which I purchased from Myonline Shop but you can also order them from Ninja Polish.  I really like her plates because there is a nice mixture of full nail designs as well as smaller art work.

Here is the finished look.

Well that's all for today, TTFN!
