Mickey Mouse Nails

I'm so excited we're going to Disney world this week, which is why I haven't been posting lately.  That being said I felt the need to break out  with some Mickey nails for the occasion.

 Here is what I did.
For the base I used,  OPI's Magazine Cover Mouse which is from the Minnie Mouse Collection and FP Paper Mache. The Mickey mouse stamp is KC black and plate MJ VII. I used a dotting tool KC Black and Konad white for the Mickey heads and dots.
The red base is a liquid sand polish, which is a textured polish.   So I went ahead and used a coat of Gelous base and a quick dry top coat to have a smooth surface.
Next, using the dotting tool I added the Mickey heads and white dots.

The wi-fi is sketchy so I won't be posting for awhile.  I might post some haul pics over on my Facebook page if possible.

U.S.A. Nails

Anyone else getting caught with the Olympic bug?  I wanted to dress my nails for the opening ceremony.  I recycled one of my 4th of July Mani's with a twist for this one.

Started out with a base of CG Dandy Lyin' Around and Illamasqua Phallic.

Using masking tape I sectioned off the area for the stars and stripes.
I used Konad white and plate MJ VI for the stars.  The wavy stripes are made by using Konad Wine Red and Bundle Monster plate 210.  Finally I added silver striping tape to finish the look.
Here is a picture of the original.  I think I like the look of the original one better.

AIS Challenge - Using Three Blues

Today's challenge over in the facebook group Adventures in Stamping is to use 3 different blue polishes.

Big surprise, with the weather being so cold, I went with  a snowflake design.
I used Zoya Blu as a base and stamped using CG Blue Bells Ring and KC Metallic Sapphire
I added a coat of Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor to the base to keep it from looking flat.

I used two plates for the flakes.  From Sugar Bubbles plate SB Special 002 and from My Online Shop MJ VII

A bit of a fail because you cant really see a difference between the two stamped blues.
Clean up was a pain, I have a feeling I'm going to be sporting Smurf fingers.

Birthday Nails

Today is my little Turtle Bean(aka Charlotte Faith) birthday, she's 2.  She is such a little girly girl I had to have pink sparkly nails.

I started off with a base of Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream and OPI Teenage Dream.

Next I made nail decals using plate VI from My Online Shop and various different polishes.  I always make extra decals just in case I tear them trying to remove them from the parchment paper.
I love decals, to bad I get a little cross eyed filling them in.

 Mmmm cupcakes!

She is so sweet(cough at times, terrible two's are kicking in)

Alabama Crimson Tide Nails

It's a big game today, Alabama is taking on LSU.  Which means I had to take Thor off and break out the houndstooth plate.

I started off with a base of Orly Bus stop Crimson and Finger Paints Paper Mache.
I added the houndstooth design using the DRK-A plate and the elephants using MJ II.  I had to try to double stamp the elephants to get a full nail done and it didn't work.
 Roll Tide Roll!

First Halloween Nails of the Season

I know it's early but I can't wait for Halloween so here we go.  This is what I ended up with.

Started off with
Sephora by OPI Cab Fare, CG Riveting, and CG Foxy
I used CG Riveting as the base, this was from the 2012 Hunger Games Collection.  I added a gradient to the accent nail using Cab Fare, Riveting, Foxy and a make-up sponge.
Using plate MJ VII and KC in black I added the cat to the accent nail.
I added paw prints using plate SB 013, from Sugar Bubbles.

Roll Tide Nails

It's that time again, college football is here!  Alabama Crimson Tide is taking on Virginia Tech this Saturday so I needed to start on my nails.

I used two colors for the base.  China Glaze White on White and Orly Bus Stop Crimson

Next I added the houndstooth print by using DRK A plate and KC in Black.  Using a dotting tool and Konad White I added random dots

Using MJ II plate I added the elephants to the thumb.

Adventures in Stamping Sunday Challenge

Today's challenge is a 4th of July Mani.

This is what I used for the base.

Both creams, two coats plus top coat.
 Using the MJ Plate VI
and the Sugar Bubbles Plate 005, as well as Konad White and Red I stamped the stars and stripes to my nails.  I really need to leave things alone instead of trying to fix them(I had some bald spots on my stripes)

Anyway thanks for stopping by!
