Playing with Mattes, Guides and Studs oh my

As I was organizing my nail art stash I found this polish and the nail guides hidden way in the back.  I took it as a sign to see what I could come up with.

I started off using MAC Black Enough?, which is a matte polish.

Using nail guides I sectioned off the area for the second color.
I used China Glaze Ruby Pumps as the second color.  A gorgeous red glitter just like Dorothy's shoes.
Next time I need to use a one coater so I wont have too many layers between the base and the secondary color.
Finally I added some studs to my nails using this handy dandy kit from Sally Hansen.

  4. Love how you mixed the matte with the sparkly red, and finished the look off with some studs! Very edgy and very cool! Thanks for sharing them in the Best Of: Nail Art link party! xo
